    IT Support Specialist (No position currently open)

    Staffing for part-time day shift position, Monday to Friday and some weekends on call.  Work location is Charlotte, North Carolina.

    CGNET is looking for a motivated, technically oriented person to join its support group as an IT Support Specialist. Part-time status has the potential to go full-time in the future. This position is dedicated to supporting a specific client, a philanthropic organization in Charlotte, NC.

    About the position:

    We currently have an opening for a part-time IT Support Specialist to support a client in Charlotte, North Carolina. The client has about 50 employees and is supported by a full-time IT Support Manager. Pay is depending on experience.  Starting pay is in the $20 per hour range.  The position has excellent upside potential.

    IT Support Specialist responsibilities include:
    • Provide day to day technical support for desktop computers, mobile phones, laptops, tablets, audio-visual systems, printers and telephony systems via telephone, email or in person.
    • Provide support as directed for IT infrastructure.
    • Triage, investigate and resolve issues with IT systems within the office and manage escalations as required to 3rd tier teams.
    • Maintain and organize equipment areas and utilize effective cable management and labeling.
    • Create desktop and laptop imaging.
    • Install/Move/Add/Changes (IMAC) support
    • Work as a project resource as required to deploy new systems, upgrades or technologies within the office which may include personal technology and IT infrastructure.
    • Coordinate vendor activities and relationships for key technology vendors supporting the office.
    • Document work within appropriate systems including Ticketing and Knowledge Base.
    IT Support Specialist requirements include:
    • HS diploma and some college or advanced training.
    • Certification in IT related field is desired.
    • Familiarity with MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
    • Familiarity with Apple hardware (iPhones and iPads) and Microsoft PC systems.
    • Strong telephone skills in English.
    • Solid customer service skills, detail-oriented, well-groomed, responsible, and dependable.
    • Strong self-motivation, willingness to follow instructions and good communications skills.
    • Availability for training period during various weekday hours of up to two weeks.
    • Experience with SharePoint, Gifts, and/or grants management software a plus.

    We have an opening for a Systems Engineer based in Menlo Park. The ideal candidate has strong interpersonal skills, a confident presence, adept logical troubleshooting, testing experience, task management skills, and root cause analysis abilities.     Technical Experience & Qualifications

    • Network Administration (primarily in a Windows environment)
    • Managing Windows Server 2003/2008/2012/R2 environments (AD, GPO, WSUS, DNS, DHCP, Print and File services, DFS, NPS, Clustering)
    • Administration, deployment and troubleshooting Exchange 2010/2013 (DAG) and Exchange Online under Office 365
    • Administrating and troubleshooting workstation OS’S (Windows 7, 8, 10)
    • Virtualization (VMware including HA, DRS, SRM) Hyper-V, VMware, System Center
    • Administrating Cisco devices
    • SAN/NAS protocols (iSCSI, NFS)
    • Experience implementing cloud solutions such as Azure, Amazon Web Services, Rackspace, Office 365, Google Apps
    • Ability to manage small-scale projects from start to finish
    • Excellent network troubleshooting skills
    • Microsoft Exchange 2010/2013
    • Small-Mid Size Business firewalls, switches, etc.
    • TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, VLAN, VPN, NAT, Wi-Fi
    • Experience leveraging scripting/PowerShell for process automation
    • Nice to have but not required, MS SQL Server, VoIP, Linux, Mac OSX
