CGNET Customers Honored at 2014 InsideNGO Conference

Here at CGNET we often say that we identify with the mission of our customers. It’s what gives us satisfaction with our work and what drives us to support our customers any way that we can. With that being said, we are delighted to share that two of our close customers, The Asia Foundation (TAF) and the World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF), have won awards for excellence in information technology and cross operations, respectively, at this year’s InsideNGO Annual Conference held in Washington, DC.

The InsideNGO Operational Excellence Award recognizes NGOs and individuals whose work in daily operations aids and assists the international community with influential programmatic efforts.

The Asia Foundation’s “OneTAF” Team was nominated for their leadership in transitioning TAF from a technology environment made up of disparate, inefficient systems and workarounds into a comprehensive online collaboration strategy and set of tools branded as OneTAF. OneTAF strengthens communication and collaboration links among The Asia Foundation’s 850+ members in their 20+ offices across Asia and the United States. CGNET is proud that several of its consultants are members of the OneTAF team, primarily working to unify TAF’s messaging with Microsoft Office 365, Exchange Online, and Lync.

The Cross Operations Award was given to the Carbon Offset Team at World Agroforestry Centre for their accomplishments in assessing the organization’s carbon footprint and implementing wide-spread and financially-sound modifications throughout the company to offset its emissions. CGNET has been supporting ICRAF’s email and communications technology for nearly 30 years.

The Asia Foundation has been improving lives and providing meaningful opportunities to all walks of life across Asia for six decades. As a non-profit NGO, TAF has worked to bring together local individuals, communities and governments to promote a variety of issues such as economic development, environmental preservation and education.

The World Agroforestry Centre is an international institute specializing in sustainable management, protection and regulation of tropical rainforests and natural reserves. Founded in 1978 in Nairobi, Kenya, the Centre works with national agricultural research systems to develop sustainable and productive land use in developing areas such as Central and South America, Southeast Asia and parts of Central Africa.

We congratulate both The Asia Foundation and the World Agroforestry Centre both for their awards and their contributions to the international community.
