Microsoft OneClip: Cut & Paste in the Cloud
In recent posts on Engadget, PC Magazine, and Android Authority, among others, word has begun to leak out about a new Microsoft product called OneClip. According to these sources, OneClip is a cloud-based clipboard that would allow a user to copy and paste between devices. A text block or image could be taken from a smartphone and replicated onto a desktop PC, and vice-versa.
Not only would this tool be available between different types of hardware, but across platforms as well. It is supposedly going to be available on Android, Windows and iOS. Microsoft OneNote reportedly will provide the synchronizing capability between manually paired devices.
The release date for OneClip is as yet unknown, as it is currently only in an internal beta process, but this feature could prove an invaluable productivity tool.
