Name Changes for Skype for Business Products

Microsoft’s renamed several of their voice and meeting services recently and I wanted to make sure you knew what they are going forward.  descriptive and understandable to both business and IT audiences.

Microsoft said their intent with the name changes are to be more descriptive and understandable to both business and IT audiences.

The name changes include:

– “PSTN Conferencing” becomes “Audio Conferencing”
– “Cloud PBX” becomes “Phone System”
– “PSTN Calling” becomes “Calling Plan”

There are no changes to how you interact with the service or to pricing, just the name changes.
