Creating engaging video content is now more important than ever. Clipchamp, a leading video creation platform, has taken a significant step forward by introducing an AI-powered feature for Microsoft called Clipchamp Copilot. This innovative tool will simplify the video creation process, making it accessible to everyone, regardless of their technical expertise.

What is Clipchamp Copilot?

Clipchamp Copilot leverages the power of artificial intelligence to streamline video production. By simply typing a prompt, users can generate a bespoke script, source high-quality stock footage, and assemble a complete video project. This includes music, voiceover, text overlays, and transitions, providing users with a polished first draft that can be further edited within the app.

Key Features and Benefits

  1. Ease of Use: Clipchamp Copilot is designed to be user-friendly. Whether you’re creating informational videos, video messaging, how-to guides, demos, or video presentations, this tool makes the process effortless.
  2. High-Quality Content: The AI-powered feature sources content from existing Microsoft 365 asset libraries, ensuring that your video is visually appealing and professional.
  3. Customization: Users have the flexibility to edit the video, update the script, replace selected media, or extend the video with new content. This allows for a personalized touch to every project.
  4. Seamless Integration: Once the video is complete, it can be exported to mp4 and saved in OneDrive, making it easy to share and access from anywhere.

Rolling Out Soon

Clipchamp Copilot is available on the Microsoft 365 Copilot plan. The rollout for this feature will begin in mid-April 2025 for targeted release and is expected to be generally available by mid-May 2025.

How to Prepare

To make the most of this feature, IT managers should inform their team about its capabilities and encourage them to provide feedback as the product rolls out. This will help improve the tool and ensure it meets the needs of all users.
