Back in February I discussed the new Teams Premium and whether it was worth the price. Benefits I talked about then were mainly enhancements to Teams meetings with the use of AI, such as AI-generated customized meeting guides and intelligent meeting recaps. I also explained the new security and confidentiality enhancements for meetings. This time I’d like to tell you about some other Teams Premium additions that can help take your team’s productivity to the next level.

Live events

With Microsoft Teams Premium, you can host live events with up to 20,000 attendees. This is a great way to connect with a large audience and share important information.

Much more storage

The Premium version offers 1 TB of storage per user, which is significantly more than the 2 GB of storage offered by the free version of Teams. This means you can store more files and documents in Teams without worrying about running out of space.

Advanced security features

Microsoft Teams Premium offers advanced security features such as data loss prevention (DLP), which helps prevent sensitive information from being shared outside your organization. It also offers advanced threat protection (ATP), which helps protect against malware and other cyber threats.

Device management

With the Premium version, you can manage devices and apps across your organization. This makes it easier to ensure that everyone is using the same version of Teams and that all devices are up to date.

Productivity features

Microsoft Teams Premium offers a range of productivity features such as priority notifications, read receipts, and message delegation. These features can help you stay on top of your work and communicate more effectively with your team.

While the free version of Teams is a great starting point, the Premium version offers a range of additional features that can help take your team’s productivity to the next level. Overall, it is a great choice for organizations that need more advanced collaboration features and enhanced security.
